AMREF

AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation) is an NGO working to improve the health of disadvantaged people in Africa as a means for them to escape poverty and improve the quality of their lives. The Tanzania country programme has its country office in Dar es Salaam and an office for the Lake Zone in Mwanza. AMREF was primarily involved in intervention development and implementation during the development and evaluation phase of MEMA kwa Vijana (MkV1), and has taken the lead on scaling up the intervention programme and the overall coordination of MEMA kwa Vijana Phase 2 (MkV2). During MkV2, AMREF have been supporting the four project districts to implement the interventions through technical assistance and capacity building activities.
